Licensing Executives Society Celebrates World IP Day by Uniting IP and Business Professionals across the Globe to Move Innovation Forward

On April 26, LES will join WIPO to celebrate World IP Day with a series of coordinated events aimed at connecting IP, licensing and business professionals, as well as entrepreneurially-minded students, across the globe in an effort to move innovation forward.

In the past two years, LES has hosted more than sixty Around the World with LES events, with over 2,000 participants in several countries and local areas throughout the US and Canada.

The events range from networking receptions and valuable education sessions, to career chats and hot topic discussions. The events are are open to anyone, including non-members and students, so register now through your local chapter and don’t forget to bring a friend or two!

Celebrating World IP Day

Have you ever heard of the World Intellectual Property Day? It´s celebrated every year on April 26.

The event was established by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2000 to “raise awareness of how patents, copyright, trademarks and designs impact on daily life” and “to celebrate creativity, and the contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies across the globe”.

This year´s motto is “Visionary Innovators”. Either with an event or an activity, organizations from all over the world will participate.
